Philanthropic Programs

Operation School Bell®

The Operation School Bell Program provides school uniforms to improve children’s self-esteem and self-confidence, resulting in a more successful educational experience.

Support for the Arts

A juried art show supported by Assistance League of Houston, showcases work of today’s artists and presents opportunities for rising Texas artists to be discovered.

Celebration of Giving

Gift cards for food, clothing and gifts are provided to Texas children’s Hospital patients and their families by Assistance League members, area businesses and donors.

Scholarships Program

Scholarships are offered to students with financial need, including those with learning differences, based on their scholastic achievements.

Head Start Readers

Volunteers read once a month, October through April, providing a Literacy Enrichment Program to students at a Head Start Center.
