Assistance League of Huntington Beach is an all-volunteer organization and offers two ways for you to get involved in YOUR community to make a difference:
Voting Members are required to:
- Attend regular monthly chapter meetings and participate in the annual evaluation
- Participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter
- Have the right to vote and hold office
- Pay annual chapter dues
- Assume a member’s share of financial obligations voted by chapter;
- Monthly, schedule and work the equivalent of a full day (7.5 hours) in the Thrift Shop
- Serve on at least one standing committee; after eight years of service as a voting member, a member is no longer obligated to serve on a committee
Community Volunteers shall:
- Receive orientation and training from the chapter
- Be under the supervision of a member at all times
- Assist in the Thrift Shop; only in the work room or restocking the sales floor
- Not work on a philanthropic program
