This year, the AL of San Jose Readers Are Leaders (RAL) volunteers teamed up with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Public Library 📖 to select books for the 2025-2026 school year. 📚📚

From this selection, the RAL team chose a diverse range of 📚 books. Our volunteers will read two books each month to San Jose Elementary School students from 🗓️ October to April.

Additionally, our RAL Chairs, Robin and Sharon, 🙌collaborated with Lizzie Nolan and Elizabeth Baragan from the 📚 San Jose Library, who provided a 👏🏼 fantastic “Interactive Reading Training” session for our volunteers.

We explored various engaging reading 📖 techniques, including a program developed by the San Jose Library and adapted from 👏🏼SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language).

We are incredibly 🥰 thankful for their partnership, as it will significantly contribute to the
🤗 success of the 2025-2026 RAL program for both our volunteers and the 👧🏽 👦🏽 students.
