Ready for Work Philanthropic Program Impacts Client

One of the chapter’s smaller yet equally impactful philanthropic programs is Ready for Work.

For the past several years, individuals referred from the chapter’s two partners, United Way of Greater Houston and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, come to our award-winning Resale Shop. With the help of a personal shopper, they select items that will enable them to feel confident during the interview or new job process.

Recently, one of our personal shoppers, Linda McCormack, received the following thank you:

“I can’t wait to send you pictures of my completed look for my interviews. I will send pictures of what I chose to wear on Monday and Wednesday if that’s ok with you. I came home and tried on some clothes and pants to match what you donated. I even found a jacket for brown pants. I’m so excited. Again thank you so much for all your help and dedication to helping me complete the look for a successful interview. When we look good, we feel good.”
