About CAMEO
CAMEO works hard to provide unique, one-on-one mentoring to underserved students attending Long Beach Unified School District high schools and community college. Since 1986, over 300 students have been mentored through our program. Nearly all have gone on to complete higher education. CAMEO graduates feel strongly that they are better prepared to attend college as a result of their participation in this program. For our 2025 graduates alone, CAMEO provided over $60,000 in scholarships and technology purchases for use in their continued pursuits. Five of our current mentors are returning CAMEO graduates who are continuing our vision to “change the world, one student at a time.”
