The Orthodontic Program provides low-cost orthodontic treatment for children from families with limited financial resources. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children be examined by an orthodontist before age 7. We can address orthodontic problems that occur at all stages of a child’s development from 6 to 18 years of age.
The Orthodontic Program’s administration, orthodontist, staff and Assistance League volunteers strive to provide comprehensive, quality orthodontic care in a personal and caring environment. The staff looks forward to helping their patients develop great smiles that will last a lifetime!
Prospective patients Kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to apply to the program and must live in Long Beach, Lakewood, or Signal Hill, or attend school in Long Beach. Orthodontic screening days are held throughout the year. Children with qualifying orthodontic needs are accepted from these screenings into the program. At the screening, the applicant will be examined by a doctor and the family financials will be reviewed to confirm program eligibility and determine your monthly payment. In addition to your monthly payment, there will be a one-time start-up fee of $100 which covers x-rays and patient models.
For more information or to sign up to participate in a screening, please call or email our office.
Adli was a patient who completed her treatment and said, “Everyone was so kind and supportive.” She promoted the program to others, including her younger brother who is now in the program. Even though he was nervous at the beginning, she says, “I keep reassuring him about the kindness of the orthodontic staff.” Adli is so happy with her new smile and enjoys all the compliments she gets.
