Kaboodle Kits meet a very basic need for personal hygiene for children, senior citizens, veterans, and families in our community. Each student who is clothed by Operation School Bell also receives a Kaboodle Kit. A Kit contains shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, comb, soap, and lip balm. Kits are distributed by nurses in the Columbia Public Schools and are also provided to clients of the following agencies:
Providing Hygiene Items
and Household Cleaning Supplies
Patriot Place and Welcome Home
Services for Independent Living
Meals on Wheels
The Voluntary Action Center
Great Circle
This program also provides other personal hygiene items to Columbia Public Schools and all six agencies, feminine hygiene products, cleaning and laundry supplies for those in need, and dietary products for senior citizens.
In 2020-21, 5,074 people were served by the Kaboodle Kits program, with a value of $22,880.19.
