Emergency rooms are scary for children.

Bear Pals distributes small soft teddy bears wearing an Assistance League logo t-shirt to provide comfort to children in stressful situations.  Our volunteers package the Bear Pal for distribution in local emergency rooms and by fire departments, law enforcement and the juvenile court system to support children in upsetting situations.  Fun Kits, which include activity materials for children, are also provided.  Blankets are also donated to the Riverside Police and Jurupa Valley Sheriff departments as another comfort tool.
