President’s Letter to all Assistance League of Victor Valley Volunteers
On March 16, 2017 Assistance League of Victor Valley was visited by National’s Chapter Services Committee Visiting Team, Cindy Burgess and Jeannie Hampton.
This was a wonderful experience for all of us to understand the direction National is going and what they can offer to us in support. The ladies that attended today and so many others that present at conference are volunteers like us, with a passion for what they do and what they can share.
We came away, feeling extremely proud of what we do: fundraising, (thrift shop, grants, annual fundraiser, sock it to em etc), our awesome programs, great communication (internal and external), education, membership (recruitment and retention) and of course our awesome hospitality and A.G.A.P.E.
We have fabulous history but we are definitely a forward thinking organization, staying up to date with technology, and moving forward to benefit our community. I love and respect our history but I am so thankful to be among a very progressive minded group of ladies and I look forward to more open discussions within our chapter that will continue to move us forward.
My thanks to those that attended. Share your experience with those who could not attend. Be excited about your upcoming role on the board, get actively involved in a new role, invite a friend to join, buy your ticket for the fabulous Derby (subliminal message). Be positive, Be proud to say I am Assistance League and be willing to offer and share why.
