Who We Are

We are 301 member volunteers in Atlanta focused on making our community a better place to live.

Assistance League of Atlanta is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization helping children and adults in need rebuild their lives and become more self-sufficient.  Through our programs, we assist a network of 250 community partners to provide new clothing, food, household goods, hygiene kits, comfort items and educational aid to those affected by homelessness, abuse and poverty.

2025 Children’s Book Drive

Assistance League of Atlanta recently conducted their annual drive to collect gently-used books and to distribute them to disadvantaged schoolchildren.  This year we collected 3,095 books from our volunteers, friends, churches, book clubs and Attic Treasures shoppers. This is in addition to the 2,475 books we distributed in January from our ongoing Operation Literacy program.

2024-25 Scholarship Recipients

Some scholarship recipients visited recently to share with our members how we have helped them achieve their career goals through our Links to Education program. Each year since 2003, we have awarded scholarships to deserving students who are active in community service while pursuing post-secondary education at eight Georgia institutions.

Charity Golf Tournament Coming Soon

Assistance League members will host their 8th annual golf tournament at Bear’s Best Golf Course in Suwanee on Monday, October 6, 2025.  As in previous years, first responders will be invited to enjoy a free round of golf in appreciation for their contribution to our communities!
