Atlanta Chapter

Assistance League of Atlanta Members Celebrate the Chapter's 40th Anniversary - October 2022

Assistance League of Atlanta has over 250 member volunteers who help children and adults in need rebuild their lives and become more self-sufficient. For the past five years, our member volunteers donated an average of 50,000 volunteer hours each year to the chapter’s philanthropic programs and Attic Treasures Thrift Shop.

We are a 100 percent volunteer organization. This means we have no employees and no salaried executive director. Our member volunteers do it all. Come join us and become part of our community service efforts to help children and adults in need.

Membership Expectations

If you have a caring heart, a generous spirit, and a desire to help people in need, please consider joining us. We want those interested in membership to understand the commitment we ask of our member volunteers:

  • Work in the Attic Treasures Thrift Shop or our warehouse (the major source of income to support our programs)
  • Attend monthly meetings (except July and August)
  • Work on at least one philanthropic program
  • Pay annual dues

Prior to joining, individuals attend two orientation meetings to ensure they fully understand the commitment they are making and become familiar with the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the organization.
