Our chapter provides scholarships to 30-40 college students each year who are active in community service while attending one of seven Georgia institutions of higher learning. The recipients and the amounts they are awarded are at the discretion of each university. Since the inception of our “Links to Education” in 2003, we have donated over $900,000 to help deserving students achieve their dream of a college education. Every April, we invite some of our scholarship recipients to come and speak to our members, but this year our meeting was a virtual one. Four students joined us via conference call, so we couldn’t see their smiling faces, but we enjoyed hearing their inspiring stories.
