Join Assistance League of Hawaii today as a full fledged member or community volunteer. We are a nonprofit organization of volunteers who are committed to identifying unmet needs and addressing them through programs developed by our members. Details here.
Operation School Bell provides school clothing to children in schools identified as Title I by the Hawaii State Department of Education. We also provide school t-shirts to students where uniforms are required. New clothes help students feel better about themselves.
We teach fourth grade students on the importance of saving our endangered species from becoming extinct and preserving our ecosystem for the future. An extensive touch-see exhibit of real animal biofacts are also displayed.
Humanitarian needs are met for all age groups through the We Care Program. This program supports an array of children and families in the community. We supply Malama Bears, layettes, bus passes, and other greatly needed items.
The Share Program distributes donated items that are usable but is not saleable in the Thrift Shop. We are able to donate them to other nonprofit agencies who share them with their clients.
(Statistics for fiscal year 2019-20 covers months of June 2019 to March 2020 due to COVID-19.)
