Thank you Boone Electric Community Trust!

The Assistance League® of Mid-Missouri is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Boone Electric Community Trust. These funds will assist with the purchase of winter coats for area children that benefit from Operation School Bell ®(OSB).
Operation School Bell provides new winter clothing and coats to children in pre-school through fifth grade in the Columbia Public Schools. The goal is to increase the self-esteem of the child and encourage regular school attendance. School personnel identify and refer children to this program. Since the program’s inception in 1997, over 25,000 children have been served. Operation School Bell is currently the largest philanthropic program provided by Assistance League of Mid-Missouri.
“The Trust is excited to provide this funding to the Assistance League of Mid-Missouri,” Trust Chair Craig Stevenson says, “Knowing that the Trust is supporting this group’s efforts to help provide much-needed educational and growth opportunities to area children resonates with the Trust’s mission of “Making a Difference.”
The Boone Electric Community Trust has provided over $3.3 million in grants since 1997. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations and public entities, such as public schools may apply for funding six (6) times per year. More information can be found at BooneElectric.coop/Trust.
Thanks again to Boone Electric Community Trust for this wonderful philanthropic support!! It will make a huge difference in the lives of area school children.
