Action Week celebrated the birthday of one of the founders of National Assistance League. This year we collected new books geared toward children 5 to 18. We also be accepted monetary donations. These funds and books were used to support the Moving Ahead after-school program at the Blind Boone Center, supported by the Columbia Housing Authority. We were able to purchase and donate over 725 new books. Friday night, each child was able to select 5 or more books for them to take home and own. Thanks for your support and for supporting literacy in Columbia.
