Moving Forward is a philanthropic program of Assistance League of Victor Valley.  The purpose of this program is to help Transitional Aged Youth in the Victor Valley, who have aged out of the foster program system, with practical needs of household goods, so they can live on their own.

Moving Forward is a collaboration with “Oasis House”, a 501(c)3 Transitional Aged Youth home in the Victor Valley.  This home assists the youth temporarily with a place to live and food to eat, as well as teaching them practical life skills, such as:

  • Household chores
  • Cooking
  • Helping them find a job
  • Money management
  • Helping them enter college, if desired

When they are ready to leave Oasis House, Assistance League of Victor Valley will help the Transitional Aged Youth by supplying them with practical household items necessary to live on their own.

Due to COVID, we did not have any transitional youth leaving Oasis House.  So we decided to take our budgeted fund and use it to purchase household items which will be needed by the residents when they do move out in the future.
