Operation School Bell® – Elementary

Elementary school students are brought to Assistance League to “shop” for brand-new clothing.  They all leave with a huge bag of new clothes, wide grins and a renewed sense of confidence.

Operation School Bell® – Teen Retail

Middle, junior high and high school students shop for clothing and shoes at a local retail store.

Operation School Supplies

School supplies are delivered to Ada County schools so students can start the school year with the same supplies as their classmates.

Cinderella’s Closet

Ada County high school students rent formal wear for a nominal fee.  Prom should be a fairy-tale for all high school students!

Baby Bundles

Provides newborn clothing and supplies to families in need in local hospitals.  Every new baby deserves to go home in a new outfit, with diapers and other essentials!

Empowering Youth

Provides basic household items, nonperishable food, and a handmade quilt to 18-year old youth aging out of foster care.

Project Hearing

Provides hearing aids, special equipment and educational grants to hearing impaired Ada County residents.

History in the Bown House

Step back in time and tour this 1879 restored home.  Period dressed volunteers teach real-life, interactive history lessons on how our forefathers lived.

Cinderella’s Closet Opening For Prom Season on 4/1

Cinderella’s Closet will be renting dresses and tuxedos for the 2020 Prom season starting on April 1st. Hours: — Wednesdays 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22 & 4/29 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. — Saturdays 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, & 4/25 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. See our Cinderella’s Closet page for more details.

Project Hearing Scholarship Application Deadline Approaching

Assistance League of Boise awards scholarships annually to Ada County hearing impaired students planning to attend a college, vocational or school of the arts program.  Completed applications must be submitted by 4/1.  See our Project Hearing page under Programs for more information.

St. Luke’s Awards Grants

Assistance League of Boise thanks St. Luke’s Community Health Improvement Fund for their generous grants to Baby Bundles to help us provide clothing, diapers and other essentials to newborns and families in need in both Ada County and Canyon County.

Voted Best Thrift Store in Treasure Valley and Idaho!

Assistance League of Boise’s Thrift Shop was voted The Best Thrift Store in the Treasure Valley and The Best Thrift Store in Idaho in Idaho’s Best of 2020 survey.  Thanks to all who voted for our thrift shop! Proceeds from our thrift shop sales fund our philanthropies that benefit those in need in Ada County.
