Desert Sage became aware of a local elementary school with needy students. Conners E.S. is in a mostly Section 8 Housing community. Shared by the principal, we were aware of students coming to school with unclean, non fitted clothing and shoes, with one young girl coming in with holes in her shoes, no socks, and blistered and cracked feet. The Desert Sage Philanthropic Committee made the decision to help. Members brought in donations to the February 1, 2022 Regular Meeting. DS member Dana Smith delivered donations to Conners E.S. on February 2, 2022. The principal and office staff were overwhelmed by the generosity. Desert Sage Auxiliary of Assistance League Las Vegas did an amazing job, with generous donations, for this school.
